SWAP MEET RULES AND REGULATIONS
GENERAL
1. Antique/classic cars, automotive parts and related items only. No Flea market items!
2. Outside vendors will be allowed to stay on their space all night Friday and Saturday.
3. Food vendors will open on Friday from 3 to 9 PM. All food vendors will open at 7AM on Saturday
and Sunday.
4. All gates will close at 8PM on Friday night. Saturday night all gates will close at 8PM.
No vendors will be allowed to enter the Fairgrounds until 5:30AM the following morning AT THE
NORTH GATE ONLY.
5. Absolutely NO power cords will be allowed to lie across roads. You CANNOT use Fairgrounds
Power under any circumstance except in buildings 1, 2 and 3.
6. No fires allowed in sheds or covered areas by order of Turlock Fire Department.
7. No live coals are to be placed in garbage/trash containers or left on grounds.
8. Cruising by motorcycle, car, truck, bike, ATV, etc is strictly prohibited with the exception of
Standard electric handicapped scooters.
9. The State of California will not permit the following on the Fairgrounds:
a. Guns of any kind
b. Dogs, except for Service Dogs. Service dogs must be on a leash.
c. Unauthorized food or beverage vendors.
10. All unsold items and trash must be taken with you when you leave.
11. Swapping ends at 5PM on Saturday and 3PM on Sunday. The Fairgrounds must be vacated by 5PM
Sunday.
12. Parts Pick-Up. There will be two parts pick-up points for large items. We have parts shuttles to
Transfer large items only to the pick-up points. Please pass this information on to your buyers.
13. Liability. Security will be provided, but the fairgrounds is extremely large and we can assume NO
LIABILITY FOR YOUR PROPERTY. We suggest you secure it when you leave your space. It is
your responsibility to protect and insure your property. Swap Meet Organizer cannot be held
responsible. Please read and sign the release on your contract.
14. NEW All buyers must open bags for inspection prior to entering the fairgrounds.
15. NEW All pop up tents must be inherently fire resistant and labeled as such. Must meet State Fire Marshal requirements.
16. NEW No vehicles will be allowed to park in the vendor spaces that are in the sheds.
REGISTRATION
1. Included with your registration are 2 wristbands per space for up to 3 spaces or a total of 6 wristbands. If you have more than 3 spaces or wish more wristbands, you must pay for them at $20 each. A wristband must be worn at all times for entrance to the Fairgrounds.
2. The State Board of Equalization requires that before your registration is accepted to the Turlock Swap Meet,
3. you must complete the on-line form in order to complete your on-line registration. Since the law requires the Modesto Area A’s to conform to this regulation, we will have no choice but to deny your space reservation if you do not comply.
3. A Sales Permit Number may be obtained free from your local Board of Equalization office.
4. The Modesto Area A’s Model A Club reserves the right to refuse the rental of spaces to anyone.
STAGING
1. On Friday, staging for all vendors and Classic Cars for Sale will be at the Broadway Gate..
YOU MUST ENTER THIS AREA VIA CANAL STREET
2. Gate pass must be affixed to the lower left hand corner of the windshield, and wristbands must be on before entering the staging area or gates.
3. Gates to the Fairgrounds will not open earlier than 2PM on Friday. If you come in on Friday, you must enter through the staging area.
PARKING
1. All vehicles must stay within the limits of your swap space. Vendor’s vehicles and RV’s must be parked in their space OR parked at the RV parking lot on the west side of the Polo Field.
2. The designated “Club Members RV lot” will be strictly for Modesto Model A Club Members.

CARS FOR SALE
1. 2000 and older cars only in the “Cars for Sale area. NO boats, trailers, car haulers or RV’s allowed.
2. No parts or other items can be sold in the car corral.
3. With entrance to “Cars for Sale” you will receive a gate sticker which must be attached to the lower left hand
BUILDINGS
1. Buildings 1, 2, and 3 will open for set up on Friday from 1PM until 6PM only. The buildings will reopen on Saturday and Sunday at 6AMfor vendors and 7AM for buyers.
2. Tables may be rented at a cost of $12.00 per table by filling in the Tables line on your contract with the
REFUNDS AND CHARGES
1. If you lose your passes or leave them at home, there will be a $25.00 charge to replace them.
2. If you are not wearing your wristband, you will be required to pay the entrance fee of $20.00
LOSS OF SPACES
1. Any vendor that is caught with a dog or dogs will lose their spaces.
2. Each vendor stall must be utilized for the purpose of selling. Parking only is not allowed. Violator’s
Space(s) will not be renewed.
3 Swappers selling or scalping spaces by attempting to sell their space for more than the amount
charged by
4. Fighting, drunkenness or disturbing others will also result in loss of space(s)
